The Hidden Question

One of the documents I’m in the midst of working on is filled with ideas that I quickly jotted down as they streamed out of me but which I now feel a bit overwhelmed about putting into order. My husband, who is a superb idea-organizer said to me: Take each statement and be a detective. Figure out what is the question this statement is answering. What a simplifying and clarifying way to work!

Today I am thinking that this makes Frankl’s concept that life questions us easier to understand as well. Like the words on the page, life just is. It’s our business to hear the question it’s coming to answer.

All of life contains a hidden question and points to the hidden questioner.

However unlike the written words, the answer presented by reality exists only in potential until we make it real.
