The meaning of feedback

Today, after receiving feedback on an earlier post (The ultimate trusting relationship) I went back and rewrote that post. The linguistic corrections were helpful. I also appreciated her questions and comments on parts that didn’t make sense.

Feedback is so precious. Sometimes it forces me to explain myself better to someone holding a different viewpoint and other times the process of rewriting helps me to clarify something that I later realize I myself didn’t understand.

It makes me realize that all feedback is helpful. If I take it as criticism I won’t be able to learn from it. If I take it as a mirror reflection of how I appear and sound, it’s the most valuable information there is.
