Soglio

Day five: From the Maloja pass we saw a very colorful view of majestic trees in the foreground, mountains in the background and an extremely windy road going down the hill. You can catch a glimpse of the windiness from this picture but I cannot describe what it was like going down this roller-coaster type road in the bus. I’ve been on windy roads before but I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life.

Soglio is an ancient village which speaks for itself. Below and to the right is a street in Soglio.

The picture immediately below was taken near the entrance to the town.

The bottom-most picture is where we ate lunch. The quiet was palpable.
