Affirmation

Why is it so important to give a person affirmation and thus boost a healthy self-image? The most basic sentence structure is made up of a subject, a verb and an object. If there is no subject there can be no verb. If there is no self (the subject) there can be no meaningful actions (the verb).

I find a good affirmation is like fuel for my kids. It can’t be just anything that makes them feel good about themselves. My son for example, (age 5) had “no strength” to get up the stairs at night. Magically, When I ask him to carry my bag up because it’s too heavy for me, he will magically feel like the big strong guy and race up the stairs heavy bags and all! (anonymous)
